The Religious Society of Friends is a small group (about 28,000 members and attenders in Britain, much larger numbers in the Americas and Africa) with a special view of what religion means, and of Christianity in particular. Anybody can attend the local Quaker Meeting for Worship. After a while, if they find they share Friends' outlook, they can become a member and take a bigger part in the Society's life.
We meet in a lovely, simple old Meeting House built in 1825.
It is now divided into large and small meeting rooms, and also houses the extensive Cornwall Friends' library. the meeting rooms are available for hire, please contact us on the details below.
We are happy to be able to provide a meeting place for local Buddhist groups on a regular basis, and the premises are used by many groups, such as FoE and Greenpeace, with which we feel we have much in common.
We have disabled access and toilet provision.
On Sundays, friends with a recognised disability sticker can park right outside the Meeting House in Pauls Terrace.
