New Women's Business Club for Truro

The UK's leading support and networking organisation for women is launching a new club in Truro.

Hosted by family law specialist Susan Harwood, The Women's Business Club will be held at lunchtime every month at the historic Alverton Manor Hotel in Truro. The first meeting is on 21st January.

Susan is very excited about hosting The Women's Business Club and is hoping as many women as possible from the Truro area will become involved and get help growing and moving their businesses forward. She is an experienced family and divorce lawyer with Woolley and Co Solicitors and specialises in the financial implications of family breakdown and children issues.

She said: "My skills as a lawyer will help make sure the meetings are facilitated really well and that every attendee gets maximum benefit for the time they have invested.
"So far we have a graphic and web design company, an IFA, a life coach, a bank manager, a will writing company, a marketing strategy company, an image consultant, a women's fashion company and a furniture company. But we also need members from other types of businesses who can share their experiences, extensive knowledge base and, of course, contacts."

Meeting and working with other business women provides amazing benefits - from the most obvious such as business leads and potential customers, to equally valuable benefits like personal support, inspiration, motivation, ideas and advice.

"I am looking forward to helping as many women as possible to succeed in business. The club is not simply about the meetings - just as important is having a network of peers who can support you and that you are able to rely on and trust. The format is also great as everyone gets to know each other really well - there is also a 10 minute presentation at every meeting. Our venue is great too - easy access and lots of parking."

Worthing-based Kelly Stevens, founder of The Women's Business Club and an ambassador for Women's Enterprise South East, added: "Since we launched in 2005, thousands of women have become involved and are benefiting from the unparalleled support they get from being part of The Women's Business Club. We now have clubs all over the UK from Peterborough to Portsmouth and Manchester to Truro."

The Women's Business Club, the leading support and networking organisation for women in business in the UK, is a professional, membership-based company that works to empower and encourage women to reach their full potential in business. There are two levels of membership - Premier Business Club, which enables members to attend meetings, and the Business Club which provides a range of services and support on-line. All members are supported by staff at the Worthing head office.
