Bunters Bar manager and discount card developer Chris Wilson said "up to now there has been very little done for the students, especially in and around Truro so we felt something should really be initiated. The idea of involving many businesses within Truro is designed to tie in Truro College initially with Truro's town centre by giving the students an added incentive to visit the quality shops, eateries and nightlife venues that the city possesses". Obviously the Monday Club is open to all students not just those at Truro College, so wherever you study you can still take advantage of the many offers.
Chris added "Mondays are often looked on as the worst day of the week but hopefully with the addition of this Club students will be able to not only enjoy a discounted night out but also spend a bit of time during the day shopping and eating in the town centre". "Unlike many other City's, Truro has never really had a big student feel, whether it is because the college is out of town I'm not sure but hopefully this will create a bit of excitement within Truro's business and student community".
