Following on from the extremely successful And Then There Were None and Spider's Web, the Agatha Christie Theatre Company returns to Cornwall on September 6 - 11.
Witness for the Prosecution is the next installment in the highly acclaimed series and is one of Christie's undisputed masterpieces.
Emily French, an elderly woman who recently left her considerable estate to the charming young Leonard, is found dead. Murdered. Though he protests his innocence, Leonard quickly becomes the prime suspect. His plea hinges on his wife's testimony, until the sudden appearance of a mysterious young woman, bearing an unexpected clue. Will the truth be revealed in time or will Leonard be declared guilty at the hands of the Witness for the Prosecution? In a world where everyone seems to be harbouring a dark secret, this gripping courtroom drama will keep you guessing until the final fatal moment.
Leading this tour de force cast is Honeysuckle Weeks (from the BAFTA award-winning Foyle's War), Denis Lill (star of the highly acclaimed series, The Royal), Ben Nealon (Soldier, Soldier), and Robert Duncan who played Gus Hedges in the multi-award-winning comedy Drop the Dead Donkey. Peter Byrne, Jennifer Wilson and 60's teen idol Mark Wynter round out this all star cast.
The evening performances start at 7.30pm and there are matinees on Thursday and Saturday at 3pm. Tickets are from £8 to £20, with concessions and a £1 Theatre Fund payment added to each ticket sold. Call the Box Office on 01872 262 466 or log onto www.hallforcornwall.co.uk
