This amazing bar and restaurant (eat in or out) is situated in Princes Street, where the decor has been handmade from recycled material and given a fresh look. Sonder has an urban and global feel about it. The recycled Absolut Vodka bottle lights look effective, whilst the bar stools and downstairs seating are covered in hesian coffee sacks, to go with the authentic pallet effect of the seating booths. Don't forget to appreciate the bar counter, hand made with collected beer bottle tops and filled with resin, this smooth bar surface just adds to the oddles of character this business has.
The second floor is light and airy, with plenty of space to enjoy your meal in this building full of character. Further upstairs there is an attic room, where you can imagine chilling out with a coffee and relaxing in this comfy area. There is a dedicated colouring in wall with the theme of peace and it is so alluring you will be compelled to make your mark.
The menu is refreshing starting from staple dishes of granola to sourdough french toast to Mexican brunch. There is food to cater for smaller tummys of little ones and the highlight is the street food. The offering inlcudes dishes from around the world including Thai monk fish skewers to bunny chow from South Africa.
Sonder Cafe Bar offers world food, craft beer and cider. Freshly brewed coffee, tea and more. The cocktails look zesty and inventive.
Open from 8am until late. They offer loyalty cards that build value for every purchase, as well as free delivery between 8am - 7pm in Truro City Centre, half a mile from HQ.
Finally, the name is unique and what does it mean? 'The profound, individual realisation that each person you meet is living their own life, that each person has their own world fitted with their own personal worries, pains, pleasures, ambitions, routines, etc

"Sonder" is the idea that there are millions of stories happening all at once, around each other, oblivious and contained from one another.' source: Stephen Thomas quora.com
