A land known for its Yak's (large Himalayan-dwelling animals) and Yeti's (or Abominable Snowman, a myth to many) filled with ancient story and wonder, can now be experienced at the restaurant named after the very two words (Yak and Yeti) epitomising its native land.
Manager Sunny grew up in ‘his' Himalayan Mountains, as he calls them, working as a trekking guide for much of his early adulthood. With many stories to tell, Sunny is always keen to recall the odd memory from a time in his native land.
With Nepalese cuisine traditionally focusing on producing a steamed, mountainside flavour - a mix of fresh, herb infused powerful dishes sums up the menu produced by the Nepalese chef at Yak & Yeti - light to the palate but lasting on the memory.
Yak & Yeti's extensive menu offers dishes for all tastes and specifications, also offering a take away service with 15% discount.
Although small in appearance from the entrance on Kenwyn Street, Yak and Yeti is surprisingly spacious. Extending throughout the property, additional to the restaurant, there are two large rooms available to hire for private parties and functions, and for the warmer summer months a lush green terraced garden is hidden away from the bustle of the city at the rear of the premises.
