An Evening with Harry Redknapp

Join us for an unforgettable evening in the VIP Pavilion at Truro School, as we welcome one of football's greatest characters, Harry Redknapp, as our very special VIP speaker for the evening. The master of many ‘Great Escapes' is one of the game's most incisive and witty speakers, with an unrivalled knowledge of football gleaned from his management career spanning more than three decades. Settle down with your guests to enjoy a delicious three course dinner, as ‘Houdini' joins our SKY Sports' host Adam Leventhal on stage, to reveal some of the behind-the-scenes shenanigans of the ‘Beautiful Game', and scrapes involving the likes of Alex Ferguson, Paolo Di Canio and Frank Lampard!

Harry Redknapp: Having cut his managerial teeth at Bournemouth, Harry was instrumental in establishing West Ham in the Premier League, introducing future international stars such as Rio Ferdinand, Joe Cole, Michael Carrick and nephew Frank Lampard. Harry's reputation as a ‘wheeler-dealer' was cemented during this time at Upton Park, bringing in the likes of Stuart Pearce, Trevor Sinclair and the mercurial genius Paolo Di Canio. Throughout his career Harry has been a specialist in saving clubs from the dreaded drop, earning himself the nickname ‘Houdini' after conjuring a series of unlikely escapes from relegation.

He famously lifted the FA Cup with Portsmouth in 2008, beating Cardiff City in the Final, and he remains the last English manager to win a major English trophy. Harry went on to lead Spurs out of the doldrums, with numerous highlights including two fourth place Premier League finishes, winning the Manager of the Year title in his first full season in charge, and reaching the quarter finals of the Champions League. Despite his successes Harry was sacked in June 2012 after failing to agree a new contract, following much speculation that he would be given the England job. After taking over at QPR in November 2012, he led them back to the Premier League in style, before ill health forced his resignation in 2015. He remains one of the game's most colourful and best loved characters, and one of the finest English managers of recent years.
