Our three hospices, Little Bridge House in North Devon, Charlton Farm in North Somerset, and Little Harbour in Mid Cornwall provide respite care and support for those children and their families who are having to cope with the most difficult of situations.
CHSW currently provides care for over 400 families. Of these some come to us for palliative care, some for emergency care and many for planned respite and a rare opportunity for a break. Others will also be supported through our bereavement team after the loss of their child.
We provide a loving and caring place for every member of every family who stays with us; a sanctuary for mums and dads, brothers and sisters. We do everything we can to help make the most of every moment a very sick child has with us and with their family and as a result our hospices are often filled with the sounds of joy and laughter.
Our charity shops sell good quality second hand items that have been kindly donated by the public. These include ladies' and men's clothing, toys and games, soft furnishing, books, bags and whole lot more!
The profits from our shops help contribute to our running costs, so by shopping, donating pre-loved items, or volunteering at our shop in Truro you are also helping to make the most of short and precious lives here in the South West.
Donations are welcomed during opening hours. Please also pop in for a chat if you'd like to find out more about volunteering at our shop.
