Truro City Council

The city council is responsible for Truro's parks and gardens, tourist information centre, allotments and cemeteries. It acts in a consultation role to Carrick District Council and Cornwall County Council.

Town clerk Russell Holden and his team are employed to carry out work on behalf of the council. He works closely with Totally Truro Business Improvement District as well as the city's chamber of commerce and the Working for Truro Association.

Rooms at Municipal Buildings are also available to hire for functions and events. The Committee Room, Council Chamber and Town Hall are all available for mornings, afternoons or the whole day. For hire fees, contact the town clerk's department.

The Coroner for Cornwall holds inquests in the council's chambers and committee room.
